The McCarthy Mercantile

The Mercantile is an Indie Underground Shopping Destination and venerable retail speakeasy below Wildflowers Armory in the historic McCarthy Building - We promote the independent makers, collectors, and artists of Central New York and foster creative collaborations, as well as provide the most unique underground shopping experience available in the heART of downtown Syracuse. At the centerpiece of the Mercantile is a high ceiling industrial event venue surrounded by independent shops and services. The six modern lit architectural columns at the center of the space make for an epic scene to showcase special events like: Film screenings, Floating art exhibitions, Guest speakers and workshops, intimate performances, artisan retail pop-ups as well as photo/video shoots and more.
